Natreon, Inc. was created in 1998 in response to a growing interest in scientifically studied Ayurvedic products. With global headquarters located in New Jersey and a state of the art R&D facility in Kolkata, India, we serve a wide array of customer needs. Since our origins, we have been focused on researching, developing and marketing Ayurveda-based active ingredients, backed by extensive clinical and pre-clinical research, safety studies, a high degree of purity, robust standardization, and developing intellectual property for the benefit of ourselves and our customers.
Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term that means “the science of life” or “life knowledge.“ Ayurvedic compounds have been used for over 5000 years in traditional Indian medicine and throughout Southeast Asia. At Natreon, we focus on the most promising of these actives and bring our rigorous, modern scientific approach to studying safety and efficacy and then developing manufacturing processes and supply chains, to produce the highest purity levels of these actives.
Our team is headed by Prof. Shibnath Ghosal, a Fulbright scholar and an eminent natural product chemist with hundreds of publications in scientific journals and a group of Ph.D. and Master’s level scientists. Dr. Muruganandam. A.V., is the director of Natreon Inc. (Branch office, India) with principal office in New Jersey, USA. Dr. Muruganandam. A.V. has a vast experience in natural product industry’s R&D activities in various disciplines such as Phytochemistry, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Formulation & Development, Microbiology for new products development, product standardization, product improvements, and scientific validation for shelf-life, safety and efficacy.
Natreon’s scientific research includes process optimization, development of chromatographic analytical methods such as HPLC, HPTLC, GC-MS and LC-MS-MS for standardization, development of marker compounds, and pharmacological studies. Safety studies are done in the U.S. and clinical studies are conducted in reputable Indian and American institutions.
